Conference Planning Checklist;
The Essential Guide

This Conference Planning Checklist can make the difference between a disaster or a success!

Everyone knows that one of the top personality traits necessary to become a good meeting or conference planner is organization. Whether you are just starting out in conference planning or are a well-seasoned pro, you need a basic guideline to help you along the way. There are just too many things to remember and too much at stake to risk forgetting something.

I have just finished compiling a Conference Planning Checklist, which is now available in eBook format. It is not be a "how to plan a conference" book (plenty of those already exist); rather it serves a guide to help make sure you don't forget any of the basics.
Here are just a few examples of what you will find in the 25-page Conference Planning Checklist:

  • Twelve Months Out:
    • Select range of dates and send out RFPs for potential venues or hotels
    • Create a billing file and tracking system – with due dates for various vendors and suppliers
  • Six Weeks Out
    • Hold a conference call with all vendors and do a “talking walk-through,” allowing each vendor to discuss their needs.
    • Give preliminary guarantees to caterer, venue, and transportation
    • Do a test-run of website/registration process
    • Create a load-in schedule and advise all vendors, ask them to sign their approval and send it back to you. Send the revised version out to every vendor, and also to the venue as well
    • Ensure all permits and Certificates of Insurance are set

...and so on.

For only $9.99, get peace of mind
in knowing your basics are covered!

Of course, every single event is different, and so it is impossible to truly list every specific "to do" that you need to do for your event.

However, this Checklist lists out the basics needed on most events, which in turn can "trigger" you to add on your own specific "to do's."

For the cost of a fast food lunch, you can have peace of mind in knowing that all of your bases are covered.

Let this Conference Planning Checklist guide your way and ensure a successful event!
